3 Jesus answered them, “Haven't you read what David did when he and his companions became hungry?1Sam 21:6 4 How was it that he went into the house of God and took and ate the Bread of the Presence, which was not lawful for anyone but the priests to eat, and gave some of it to his companions?”Lev 24:9 5 Then he said to them, “The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

6 Jesus Heals a Man with a Paralyzed Hand Matthew 12:9-14; Mark 3:1-6Once, on another Sabbath, Jesus ^{▼▼Lit. he} went into a synagogue and began teaching. A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit Matthew 7:17-20

The Two Foundations Matthew 7:24-27

46 “Why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but don't do what I tell you?Mal 1:6; Matt 7:21; 25:11; Luke 13:25 47 I will show you what everyone is like who comes to me, hears my words, and acts on them.Matt 7:24 48 He is like a person building a house, who dug a deep hole to lay the foundation on rock.
